Hey Andy, just checking if you received the video. Oh yah, we train left hand as a checking hand from the start. As time goes by we're taught checks can be positional, pinning, or my favorite STRIKING CHECK. This way left hand is always active.:asian:

Hi Rich,

No video yet, but I'll look out for it.

We do the same as far as the left hand for checking, etc. in middle to close range. The post i put up was more for the left hand being dominant (holding the primary weapon) the stick in the left hand and let the right is doing the support work. As many have said...its the same, but different.

Many seem to say they teach both right away (in regards to the left hand dutys to a dominate right weapon hand), but I remember my very first lessons were in a largo style and because of the range, the other hand stayed at home out of the way. It wasn't until I started the medio to corto range when I started using a checking hand.

Thanks

Andy
