My dojo recently participated in an annual Sword Fest held in Malvern, PA. Here are a couple clips of me at the Sword Fest for your perusal (or amusement). Right-click the following links for download; they are in mpeg format.

Solo kata (17.7 MB)

Tameshigiri (3.95 MB)

I tried tameshigiri (Japanese test cutting) for the first time that day, so please don't be too hard on me.
Aww fer crying out loud... I've updated, tweaked done just about what I could think of... I run these two clips... hell ANY clips and all I get is the beginning and that's it and that little ball thingy zip zips zips to the end of the clip nothing in between... ... grr grr...

What is your OS, what are you using to try and view the files, what version of said software, etc?

XP Pro
click on the link and the quicktime mini window pops up on an otherwise blank screen... :idunno: that's it... it's worked before but now... :wah:

Uninstall Quicktime, then grab the latest from Apple.

Also, make sure MS Media Player is upto date as well.

Update MediaPlayer, update Quicktime, reboot.

Also, standard bit: make sure the spyware is cleaned out, etc.

Also, you can try right-click/ save as and save them right to your desktop. Might be a cache issue in the browser. (I use Firefox. IE blows)

Yeah, I don't like that either. Or RealPlayer. Sadly, that means I often end up using MediaPlayer. I don't like that as a matter of principle.

A friend is supposed to be sending me a DVD(s) soon that I'll have to find something to use to watch. Who knows what I'll choose!

Umm, they make these boxes you can connect to a tv set..... :D
PowerDVD for Windows is good.

Yeah, but it's nice to be able to use the laptop as well as the TV.

I'll look into PowerDVD for Windows though.
