I might not agree with the actions of this woman but, as I said in the title, in many places this is just the first non-EDL public example of an under-current that is building strength in this country i.e. ordinary folk who have just about had enough.

Prosecuting her will make things worse rather than better.

Having been on the end of a few racist rants and violent actions I'm all for prosecuting her, daft cow.
While people are go on about Asian and minority immigration here perhaps they could also look at the white immigration which is not so obvious and is also costing this country a fortune in benefits. When South Africa stopped becoming an apartheid country thousands of white South Africans moved here, the same when Rhodesia became Zimbabawe, thousands of white people moved here. They arrive at Heathrow and declare themselves homeless, Hounslow Council have to put them up, at our expense. Then there are all those who said 'sod it' to our country, waved us goodbye saying how awful everything was here and went to live in Spain, France and Greece, now those countries are going **** up they have come back here and are living off benefits. Many ex pats are coming back from Dubai penniless as they aren't allowed to leave until they've paid their debts, again they end up on benefits here.

Interesting points about the less visible waves of migration, Tez, altho' we're hardly talking in the same numbers. As I said in another thread we have half a million net immigration every year, so the affect here in Blighty is magnified still further.

There are too many coming too fast and not only can the infrastructure not take it but neither can the social structure. Times have become hard and people can't 'get at' the real culprits so visibly different immigrants become an easily identifiable target for their anger. That's why I noted it's the tip of the ice-berg; one woman who snapped, for whatever reason, opening the stop-tap to a torrent of abuse that happened to get caught on camera (I haven't watched the footage I have to say, for I would find it too embarrassing to see someone be so, presumably, vile to others).

If the underlying reasons for this are not handled by the powers that be then things will only get worse. Thankfully, altho' people are very angry on this issue they still have enough good sense not to vote for the extreme Right political parties; well, not yet at least.

Home Office figures for this year.

People subject to immigration control
Excluding visitor and transit visas, 4% fewer entry clearance visas were issued in the year endingSeptember 2011 (592,000) than the previous year. Visas issued for study and work have bothdecreased, with 7% and 6% falls respectively compared to the previous year. However, there were a record 1.7 million visitor visas issued in the year ending September 2011, 13%higher than a year earlier (1.5 million). The latest year ending September 2011 figures show a fall in settlement grants to 180,131; 25% lowerthan the previous year (241,586). This may suggest a peak has been passed, following the completion ofthe asylum backlog case review which contributed to the previous rise. There were falls in the work (-22%), family (-30%) and other discretionary grant (-37%) categories. There were 179,613 people granted British citizenship in the year ending September 2011, 9% fewerthan in the previous year (197,051). The fall was mainly due to fewer grants based on marriage and tochildren related to British citizens. The third quarter of 2011 had the highest quarterly number of asylum applications (4,912) since the thirdquarter of 2009, mainly due to an increase in applications from nationals of Pakistan, Iran and Syria.Asylum applications continue to be significantly lower than levels seen in the early 2000s.During the third quarter of 2011, 6,834 people entered immigration detention. This was a slight increasefrom 6,771 in the third quarter of 2010. Of these 6,834, 30 were children, which compares with 48 in thethird quarter of 2010.During the third quarter of 2011, 13,253 people were removed or departed voluntarily, a 13% fall from15,261 during the third quarter of 2010. This is the second lowest quarterly figure since the third quarterof 2001, although all the various types of removals and voluntary departures are higher than the second
quarter of 2011, which was the lowest quarterly figure.

As for expats, you are talking thousands from Spain alone.

In Scotland there's an average of 22,800 ex pats per year arriving back.

"About 20,000 British schoolchildren at private schools are expected to return to the UK because their parents have been made redundant. "

That's just the kids!

It`s sad and frustrating to have to put up with women like her, but it`s part of the cost of having a free society. As an American I can`t help but be suprised that she can be prosecuted for spouting that filth.

Thats what I was thinking.
racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment sounds pretty serious. Anyone know what that carries for a conviction?

Well, unless they cleaned out tehir books lately, there are some interesting laws on the books.
Grant you it's been a while, but I heard of an Ohio man (I think) who got to spend some jail time for cursing in front of a woman...and he just fell in the water and turned the air around him blue.

I am never sure if I prefer the open bigots over the closet ones though.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw it was "white trash." She may not be a trashy person overall, but it was a good audition for Jerry Springer. She'd fit right in, although she'd have to take some clothes off. :whip1:

It was interesting to see that while she was busy foaming at the mouth, her boy was sitting quietly on her lap, impeccably behaved. I'd like to take that as an indication that maybe she was just having an off-day.

LOL

or he was deathly embarrassed.

I remember watching it and thinking he was well behaved, but near the end I thought he looked a bit scared because of the angry words flying on both sides. I wonder if he`ll grow up with those same perceptions of who`s really english or who really belongs. It`s sad to think of hate or intolerance being passed down like a holiday tradition.

He's just confused, 'cause he has a golliwog at home
:lfao:

I know that it's coming
but I ain't worried none,
'cause we got enough pity to go around,
and everybody's gonna get them some!
