I just picked up a used copy of Hiroaki Sato's translation of The Sword and the Mind. I haven't been able to find any info on this book. Is it still in print? I'm going to start reading it soon, but for all you who study Japanese sword arts, is this book any good?

I don't know it. I recently picked up Hagakure but my reading list is so backed-up that I don't know when I'll get to it.

Well, I finished it about a week ago and I found it to be pretty good. If you're a Yagyu Shinkage Ryu practitioner, it should be required reading. If you're just a general practitioner, or practice some other form of kenjutsu, it's still a good book.

I don't know if it's still in print.
