The Phoenix

I am looking for good pics of the mythical Phoenix and am having a hard time finding much. Any ideas? Links? Downloads?

Depends what tradition you're interested in.

If you start looking at Persian or Chinese art you'll find a lot of examples. Likewise, if you start to get into Alchemical imagery the Phoenix shows up frequently. I think the Hermetic Museum in the Czech Republic has quite a few examples. There are picture books from it around and about.

Ha! I just did an image search for the Phoenix on Google and one of the first things that popped up was "Big Bird in China"...I must be tired 'cause that struck me funny for some reason. I'll keep looking around for you and see what I can find.
