Those here who know me well know that I have little good to say about organised religion, it having being used as a tool of oppression and aggression for far too many centuries. However, quite often, good sense and examples of simple humanity does seem to flow from those that head the Church of England. As such the fact that "The archbishop - a former oil industry executive - is a member of the cross-party Banking Standards Commission." can only be a good thing. A man with a strong sense of 'right' and 'wrong' who also has experience of the vipers nest of business might be in a position to change a few minds and maybe nudge things in a less devil-take-the-hindmost-and-give-me-my-bonus direction.
