Actually it was April First that people would dance naked in the streets. It was the first day of the first month after the Spring Equinox, that they celebrated the new year and also a fertility right. So dancing naked and drinking alcohol was involved. It became known as April Fool's Day from people who did not follow this religion.

Pegan is a derogatory term, to some. If you do not believe as others do then you could be considered a pegan, or unbeliever. Some take pride in the term, so I just thought I would share it is not as PC as one might think.
