mook jong man
Senior Master
A pretty simple exercise that we like to do now and again.
From rolling in chi sau one partner will randomly try to suddenly move back and break contact.
The other partner will attempt to detect the intention of his opponent to get away and try to "latch" him back in and commence "continuous punch".
Another variation , perhaps for more advanced students is , as the opponent breaks contact the other partner executes a kick , typically a thrusting heel kick to the bladder region or snap kick to the groin.
The exercise should not be done in a stationary manner , the students should be constantly moving backwards and forwards in between attempts to get away.
Relaxation is to be emphasised , any tension will hinder the ability of your arms to "listen".
