Movie sequels usually stink. When it comes to music, many bands fall prey to sophomore slump. Can you name any movies or bands who avoid this?

I'll start. Now when it comes to music, I may name some bands you haven't heard of. Don't worry. Just take my word for it that the second album was better. :)

MOVIES
Godfather 2
Aliens
Terminator 2

MUSIC
Nirvana (Nevermind)
Smashing Pumpkins (Siamese Dream)
The Catherine Wheel (Chrome)

Return Of The Dragon was way better than Enter the Dragon, although not originally shot as a part 2.
Tripping Daisies had one good album and it was not their first. (Elastic Firecracker)
Cannon Ball Run II featured Jackie Chan
Led Zeppelin just got better and better; then, not so much. LOL
The Yard Birds were a better band under Jeff Beck. (he sucked at touring, and just had to go)
The first Cat Steven's Album is almost impossible for the modern mind to listen to.
Lou Reeds first album featured Steve Howe; so it is almost unavailable except on youtube. (not his best)
David Bowie needed to work out a few kinks. ;)
Kate Bush The kick Inside was good, but ear piercing, she needed to grow up.
