Despite opposition from law enforcement and media outlets, proposition H was passed in San francisco. Banning posession sale and manufacture of handguns and ammo in city limits. What is amazing to me is the current 'mantra' in America today is-'it can't happen here.'
 
yes, i love my city, but I don't see this as the answer to our crime problems. I voted against it.

Had to read that twice, as the first time I swore it said "Preperation H was passed in San Francisco"... :eek:

Seriously though, I have to agree with Arnisador here in that the issue would never stand up to an appeal.

I think the mayor has already acknowledged this at the close of the polls. There are already legal challenges being prepared. He stated that he is seeing it as more of a symbolic gesture, and realizes that it may not have any real teeth.
