Bonnar, fought in landmark UFC bout, dies at 45

Stephan Bonnar, whose 2005 fight with Forrest Griffin helped launch the UFC into the mainstream, died at age 45, the UFC announced.

RIP Stephan Bonnar, runner-up in the first Ultimate Fighter and later a Hall of Fame member. Bonnar's fight against Forrest Griffith was instrumental in putting the UFC on the map as we know it today and making it a household event when they fought in the Ultimate Fighter finale.

I was too. Everything I ever heard about him was him being a class act. And he passed at so damn young an age.
