About 50% of time, my computer freezes up while Windows XP Pro (Service Pack 1) is booting up. Anyone had/have this problem and know what I should do?

The easiest thing to do would be to do a system restore to a date when you know that your system was working fine. From there, patch your OS with Service Pack 2.

If that doesn't work,

First thing to do is check the integrity of your memory.

You can burn the ISO file to a CD, that is bootable, and the tests will automatically commence.

If you can run through two cycles with no errors, then you may want to check your power supply.

My wierd *** video card isn't compatable with Service Pack 2, so I'm not going to go that route. Thanks for the other advice tho' I'll try it out.
