I contemplated posting this in the self defense section as a warning to people. I have never seen anything like this before. I thought crying "fire" in a crowded theater was illegal. Isn't this similar to that concept? Certainly, speech like this is inappropriate. I can't believe that it really could come to this...

Dude, that was funny. Lighten up. :)

Best thing I've seen this election. Made me laugh out loud.

I particularly enjoyed the 75 year old woman - "I'm gonna track down Mitt Romney and give him the Worlds Biggest Cockpunch!"

Burning cities and sexual assault are funny?

Yeah. That was genuinely funny. IF it wasn't very clear that the statements were hyperbolic and absurd, then you might have a case to make. But it was so clearly intended to be tongue in cheek, it was funny.

Mock outrage isn't funny, though.

Yes, in this context. So is you pretending that you can't see how this was intended.
At least, I hope you're pretending. If not, then you have my sympathies.

Are you sure it isn't a parody of these pro-violence sentiments from the right?

Throughout all of the violent rhetoric, there has not been any condemnation by leading Republicans, and after the Virginia Republican Committee newsletter, it is easy to see why. Apparently, they are serious about armed rebellion against the United States government with an African American man as President. In fact, leading Republicans have been complicit in stirring up resentment against President Obama by accusing him of promoting “European-style socialism” and not being an American. Willard Romney and his campaign have used the “not an American” meme to portray the President as “not one of us” and “foreign to American principles.”

:argue:

I heard about this video today on the Alex Jones Show and I totally agree. This video, while seemingly joking and funny, is really just a hidden message to the hoards of occupy wall street socialist brown shirts. That woman in the video, the one who wanted to Cockpunch good ole mormon mitt, she was making ripping motions with her hands. That is sinister...

Thanks for the clarification.

You have my sympathies. Was your humor gland surgically removed, or did you kill it?

Lol.

It must be dead.

This thread is satire, btw.

Welcome to the world of conservatives Makalakumu. If a Republican supporter had produced a video like this about obama, all hell would have broken loose. He would have been called a racist, a tea bagger and the ad would be used to attack conservatives as being on the verge of violence. Welcome Makalakumu, now you know how it feels to be a conservative.

Here's the thing, Bill. I was being satirical with this thread, because I heard almost the same exact hyperbole I posted earlier on Alex Jones. I don't think Michael Moore is "calling" for violence, but I do think that there is a potential for political violence this year more than many other election years.

How will this video look if there actually is a race riot if Obama loses? That's not completely out of the question. When the subject of vote rigging gets thrown in there, whether its true or not, imagine how people are going to feel if America's first black president is defeated by a white "bankster" who they perceive as having cheated?

So yeah, the video is funny and there is an uncomfortable ring of truth to it.

Which makes my satire all the more funny because the hyperbole just might be prescient.
