New York City police say an officer appears to have acted within department guidelines when she killed a man who lunged at her with a wooden folding chair in a church parking lot.

Police say Gilberto Blanco was shot once in the chest.

Looks like a clean shoot, and a testimony to the effectiveness of the standard issue 9 mm 124 grain Speer Gold Dot +P hollowpoint load!

Of course it's a clean shoot. He was openly attacking a police officer. You don't openly or covertly attack police officers... how thick can you get?
