Rare footage of Neungsiam* "The Rock" Samphusri (blue shorts) fighting Chaichana Deytawi @ Lumphini Staduim in 1996 (light atomweight division). This fight, featured on ESPN, went the 5 full rounds and was won by Neungsiam in a decision by the judges. Neungsiam went on to win the coveted Mitsubishi Tournament Champion Title in 1997. He currently resides in the US and is set to make his professional debut soon!
*Disclaimer: Although at the time of this video in 1996, as the fight commentators announce, Neungsiam fought under the name of "Fairtex". He retired in 2004 and but is making a comeback under his real name "Samphusri" in the US. Since 2005, Neungsiam no longer fights under the name "Fairtex" nor has any affiliation or association.
