MT member "Novitiate" tests for Red Belt tonight! The test starts at five and ends when it is done. Here are Superior Tangsoodo's requirements. He'll have to know everything on the Red Belt list and be able to take the old stuff to a higher level. Wish him luck! We'll have pics and vids to share afterward.

All of our tests are assessments as learning. Assessment of learning occurs in our day to day classes. The purpose of the test is to discover your limits and push them.

The Red Belt test is an interesting one. The color Red represents summer. It is very Yang. When one becomes a red belt in TSD it means that they have blossomed in the art and are growing in earnest.

The test was 3.5 hours of constant motion and exhaustion. The results are below...

And even today my aches and bruises are too numerous to catalogue.
As of today I feel like I have the body of a 70 year old.
Hopefully I will have regained those 40 years by the time Kyosa returns from vacation.
