I came across this video from MJW and I though it should be shared. It's a nice little look at punching and how a linear Japanese style punch works. Could be more in depth, but if you are in a Japanese style you'll see the implications of all his presenting quite easily.

As for his punching technique. I like how he explains it, I like that it's clearly a Japanese punch. He didn't really get in depth with the the whole using perspective and moving straight to make moves less visible, but it's in there.
