Kid Update

Hey all,

Some of you might remember I posted some while back about how my wife and I were considering an adoption. Wanted to let my friends here know that it's final. A spiffy 7 year old lad is coming to be our son this July. Paperwork is in motion and all the officials involved seem highly motivated to make this work smoothly.

So yay! Thanks for all the earlier advice and be ready to be hit up for more as things develop.

The fellow is actually from my neck of the woods. A situation came to our attention and we decided to step up. Thanks for asking.

I was talking to one of the teens at the dojo about it, and she asked the same question: "What race is he?"

My answer was "Brick" (my last name).

She looked confused for a moment, then said "Oh. Right. I get it."

Everyone has said it! congratulations! As well as doing good I think you will enjoy being parents! Sure, there's some tricky times, happens with all families but they are so outweighed by the good times!
