That’s what the Louisiana House Criminal Justice Committee approved last week. The new proposed bill would crack down on anyone who wears low-slinging, pants-sagging, belly-baring, underwear-peeking pants. It faces the full State House sometime within the next two months.

"Baggy Pants Bill"
House Bill 1626, also known as the “Baggy Pants Bill” states: “It shall be unlawful for any person to appear in public wearing his pants below his waist and thereby exposing his skin or intimate clothing.”

State Representative Derrick Shepherd’s bill would make any violator subject to three eight-hour days of community service and up to a fine of $175.

Otherwise, you might both get a ticket.

Baggy pants look stupid and all,

But for cryin out loud, dont tell me what I can and cannot wear just because you think it looks stupid.

Damn.

There are laws like this all over the country in cities and towns across America. Whatever the laws in those communities are that was determined by that community of lawmakers and citizens. We may not agree but we do have to respect those laws.

Now find me some really silly ones still in effect or not. I don't rememeber what city it was in but I think and old grandfather law of

"Rallies or Demonstarations of any kind are not allowed by law to be held in a public parking space." Fines would be applied and incarceration may occour if there is failure to comply with said law.

Serious and Fun

They not only look stupid, they are stupid! I was sparring around with a guy at work whom regularly wore those pants, and when he kicked at me I simply kicked his foot off to the side with my knee and it took both his feet out from under him and he landed on his head. And we were freinds. The law, however, is goofy.

That bill makes me embarassed to be a redbone coonarse. It's almost as stupid as the one in georgia to make it a law for all restaurants to serve "sweet tea". (I want to hit people for even saying "sweet tea")

LOL well just to warn you, you might not want to visit Canada then, because the only kind of cold tea you can drink has sugar in it. There's no option for Ice tea with our without sugar.
