Keanu Reeves paternity suit denied by Ont. judge

Its nice when the law and common sense work as they should. Now my back ground is in history and political science, but I'm pretty certain you can't use hypnosis to manipulate a DNA test....


An Ontario judge has dismissed a paternity suit against actor Keanu Reeves.

Karen Sala alleged that Reeves was the father of her four adult children and was seeking $3 million a month in spousal support and $150,000 a month in retroactive child support.

A judge in Barrie, Ont., threw the case out Thursday, saying Sala's allegations were "so incredible" that no reasonable judge would accept them.

Judge Fred Graham said any trial would be "a waste of limited judicial resources."

A DNA test showed Reeves was not the father of Sala's adult children, who are between 21 and 25 years old.

But Sala questioned the validity of the test, raising the possibility of tampering and suggesting that Reeves could have used hypnosis to affect the results.

Gentlemen,

While the story is amusing and kudos to the Canadian Court system with this one – but down here in the USA there is now case law whereas….

• Man (the father, a.k.a. ATM machine) has been paying child support – per a court order
• Man always has had “suspicions” on paternity
• The price/ease of DNA testing has dropped dramatically during the past decade.
• Man tests himself and his “children”
• Suspicions are proven true, the mother was a tramp
• Man petitions Probate Court for support relief
• Probate Court rules against Man – using various, illogical jurisprudence reasoning

What the newspaper story doesn’t descibe is what compelled Reeves to take the DNA test in the first place if he “never met the woman”???

Unless "Neo" can impregnate womyn by just his thoughts, answered my own question, eh?
