Vonn nursing injury while chasing big payday

ZAGREB (AP) If Lindsey Vonn is to collect the biggest paycheck in women's skiing at a World Cup slalom race on Sunday, she will have to overcome an arm injury and an expected sluggish course as well as her rivals.
Warm weather and heavy rain on Saturday damaged the Crveni Spust course on Sljeme hill. However, organizers believe the race will still be staged as temperatures were expected to drop overnight and machine-made snow is scheduled to be added to the piste.
