OBIHIRO, Hokkaido (Kyodo) Olympic medal hope Keiichiro Nagashima finished third in the overall standings at the world sprint speedskating championships Sunday.
Nagashima placed third in the 500 meters with a time of 35.19 seconds and eighth in the 1,000 in 1:10.73 at the Meiji Hokkaido-Tokachi Oval.
