Not sure this one will be picked up by the right wing biased media. While an effort has been made to cast Jon Stewart as a liberal crusader, his humor is as often lampooning the left as the right. It was a funny bit. He showed several pictures of her, saying (paraphrased), "You'd have to look pretty hard to find a bad picture of Michelle Bachmann... and you did."

Good for him. I posted this on a friends FB page last night:

Dollars to donuts, she's hypothyroid. Its common for thyroid malfunction to be autoimmune-based...when the body's immune system attacks its own tissue instead of invading tissue, and a common symptom is bulging eyes (exophthalmos). I'm not a particular fan of Rep. Bachmann, but I'm rather disgusted at all the attacks on her appearance. Her politics offer plenty of controversy.

Well, your hopes were answered a day ago, the "right wing," media did report on Jon Stewart and the cover issue:

keep in mind, you don't get much more "right wing," than John Nolte of big hollywood and Andrew Breitbart. If people would really look at Breitbart and the other "right wing," media types, you would see that they are the "fairest in the land."

I get real tired of peple talking about how politicians look. Like that makes a big difference on how they think.

well, it's more prevalent with women than with men tho....

And no, it has zero to do with what they do....

I'm not sure about that, Remember Bill's hands, or the question of what drawrs he wears.

Hmm.. wonder if any silly polling group has done a study on this.

Oh come on American voters ... please get your head out of the glamour mags and into the game. Who gives a flying frak what a politician looks like? Don't be so vulnerable to the trivial.

Here are some images of some of the most active (in recent decades) female politicians over here in the UK:

Not many 'stunners' amongst them ... wonder if they got elected because of their views and intelligence instead?

If we had a prince, we'd make sure he didn't marry a horse.

:sigh: ... and :chuckles: Hey, Charlie had his choices and it's up to him where he hangs his hat {assuming you're referring to Camilla?}.

Who reads Newsweek other than when they are in a doctors waiting room???
