Imagine the electric bill

My first thought was way cool. Then I imagined living beside them and having that go off in the middle of the night like a malfunctioning car alarm, that would drive me batty. My next thought was these folks have waaayy too much time on their hands!

I hope they hired a crew to have it done. If not they must have started in the summer, doing it themselves.

Really neat! I'm sure for something this big the people spoke to the neighbors about the light & music show when they were setting it up. I bet they probably also run it a certian time, at least the music part, so it's not blasting people at 11pm at night.

Decorating houses with lights is catching on here big style. I don't know what winter is like where you are but here it get light about eight in the morning and dark at half three in the afternoon, with mostly grey sky in between. However garish some of the decorations may be (and some are)it always makes you smile and it's lovely to see lights. Some people have got snobby about them but we desparately need something like this through the long winter, it's no co-incidence that major religions have festivals of light during this time!

That was awesome. And if that lighting is al incandescent, then they must have some serious electric infrastructure in place just for this. Because the average fuse box would go 'poof'.

These things are getting popular in Belgium too, and I always like seeing them. The holiday season is my favorite time of the year :)

Personally I’m just going to use two airport spotlights that spell Merry Christmas on the clouds much the same as the Bat signal :D

Unfortunately, not always. I know of a few cases where extravagant displays weren't done with the consent of the neighbors -- and caused significant disruption and lots of problems in the neighborhood.

Absolutely! Personally I would not want to live next door to someone with a setup like this.

Where did this guy order this cool set up ?

Is there a blog or websites where he shows how he built that Christmas time display ?

I would love that for my house.
