How to be a human army tank, how to toughen yourself up to be able to take the strongest hits and to keep going. Anybody know of drills that develop such fortitude? I know arts such as Muai Thai are good for that. Also I've heard of iron vest training although I don't know how legit that is.

Get out of fantasy land.

A decent, beginner's start, would be the "whatever" drill.

Repeatedly have a bowling ball dropped on you're stomach. Failing that, repeatedly run into a wall. If still standing, you are a tank.

I was on your side, but now I've got to second guess myself here...

My 5 year old daughter repeatedly drops things on herself and runs into walls. She's no human army tank. Perhaps it's because she's not doing any of it intentionally?

The students where I teach (not MA) repeatedly run into a wall (intentionally). I get so tired of telling them to stop. They're no army tanks either.

You need a partner, but you just hit each other. :)

That pretty much.

Here is a fun one we do. Take your shirt off and have the other guy slap you.

It is supposed to deaden the nerves in your skin.

It is worse than being hit.

If you could make humans into tanks there wouldn't be any need to manufacture tanks would there. This reminds me of the joke ...say RED backwards.

I don't think this is a strange question, at all. Some people are just tanks, for God's sake. There is no other word to describe them that isn't an animal, like a rhino, or bull. Wait, How about a lorry or Mac Truck? By the way, I hear that, in England, a lot of people are getting robbed in their flats. We Americans were just wondering why you don't just wear heels? ;)

Strength or power lifting would be a good start - suggest 5x5 or 5/3/1 program and supplements and steroids will help.

But just a word of personal caution - tanks are often slow, and some people will not want to train with you.

You can make quite a nice cup of tea or coffee in a tank they have a little boiler, you can also get a few people in but the driver can't see where he's going, has to have a commander. They didn't use them in Afghanistan as they are vulnerable to IEDs.

Didn't mean to come across as being flippant. One of my schools was what is known as a "Special School", I am well aware of peculiar behaviours.

Also useful as a hot plate if in Africa.

Here is a better idea. Don't get hit in the first place.
