How Much Money Spent?

Hey guys, some quick questions.
How much money do you spend a year on training?
What does this include?
Classes? Seminars? DVDS? Books? Equipment?
How much do you spend on classes? etc,...

Classes: about €240 a year.

I don't need to buy any equipment anymore, but I think I spent about €159 on 'equipment' (clothes, bokken, jo).

I rarely buy any equipment or gear, but I do get a new uniform evry once in a while. I only have to pay for the Kenpo classes I recently started taking, since I teach the other styles I train in. As a personal trainer, I do have CECs to pay for and they can be expensive.

Uniform= $100-350
Classes= $1100 give or take a few $$
CEC= $700-1800, depending on materials and such.
Fuel= $250-15,000 depending on fuel prices.

A: Not much.

Sum total for the past 5 years:

Classes? $0
Seminars? $100 (for one seminar not associated with my training directly)
DVDS? Bought 1 for about $30
Books? Unfair question...reading is a passion. More than I should.
Equipment? Sai about $130, $5 materials for chisi, $200 several bo, $20 one pair gi bottoms, eku maybe $100...all other stuff is borrowed.
Travel/car gas: 2hr round trip/twice week...varies with the price of oil extortion.

I spend a few thousand every year flying out of state to train with my teacher once a quarter. Air fare, hotel, car rental, restaurant, gifts, etc. It adds up, but he's among the top martial artists I know (and I've met many). Been studying with him for 18+ years.

I rarely buy books or DVDs. If I do, it would likely be more something like Harry Cook's book on karate history, than a technical manual.

Uniforms, weapons, gear: probably a few hundred a year if you're talking about for private use. I do run a small school, and I spend more money there.

1800 a year for membership. Gradings are extra, though except for hapkido, I have few of those these days. Equipment is extra as well, though the only big expense has been my kendo bogu, at about 700.00 and my nihonto, which was about two grand.

Classes: up to brown belt, $50 for each 3 month session ($200/yr); after brown belt, no tuition

Required in-school tournaments: up to brown belt, $35 4 times a year ($140/yr); brown and above, free if you help with setup

Belt tests: $35 4 times a year up to blue belt, then less often

Initial brown belt test (includes gear bag, red gi with patches and embroidery and some other gear): $150.00.

Subsequent brown belt tests: free if for practice; $50 if taking a stripe off

I'm hard on gis, so I probably spend another $50-80 a year on that.

I've spent at most $100 on sparring gear in the last 3 years; despite being rather destructive.

Other equipment: before I test for black belt, I'll need to buy a bo, tonfas, sais, escrima sticks, a sword (metal or wood), and nunchuku and learn the basics of each. Guess I know what I'm getting for my birthday and Christmas this year.

I lucked our...
One year membership for my son would have been $1200 but I am back and helping Kyoshi again so therefore our fees are waived and kyoshi gave me a new uniform.
I needed sparring gear so I picked up a set for $50 at an online storefront.
I splurged and got myself a new bo staff for $30 and a custom pair of Phil Worbington Steele sais ($215 shipped).Those should arrive in a couple weeks.
