When the weather is scorching hot what do you do to cool off?

I usually go to the library (free WiFi) plug in my laptop and work there.

Workout at my local YMCA.

Fill the tub with cool water and soak myself for a few minutes while I read a book.

Take a nap with the fan blowing.

Generally, a strategic retreat to the basement - no A/C needed! Which is good... because I don't have A/C in my house!

Fire up the Central Air...

Being in Texas means Air condition and staying indoors with the AC and plenty of water.

I drink a cold beer, a lighter colored one not a dark one, those are for cold days. Not exactly healthy, but y'know....

I sit in the freezer :p.

Tried that once at it worked but i got a crick in my neck. Usually Ill sit around with and ice pack against my neck and read a book.

Depends - if it's hot and humid, that's hard ... I usually seek some indoor, air-conditioned entertainment, like a movie or the mall, bookstore, library. If it's hot and dry, I'll try to cool off outside with a water-based activity.

Oh, I just walk around and say "Hot enough for ya?" "But at least it's a dry heat." Doesn't cool me off, but it's entertaining.

There's no AC in the dojang. Just large box fan to move the hot air. :) Pre-hydrating during the day before class is a necessity.

Get a high powered window mount A/C unit. Ours can cool the kitchen, dining room, and living room.

I might, when they go on sale this fall... in the meantime, I've been renovating the basement instead!

Well today was the exception but myself and the rugrats went to
the beach!

You know, there are certain species of animal that can fly when it gets this hot.

BIRDS!

I sit in my condo with the A/c on and try not to think about my electric bill....

I attempt to stay inside in the A/C as much as possible unless I have a couple days off — then it's off to Kentucky Lake! Upper 90s and high humidity is perfect weather for the lake.

As for working out: it broke 100 yesterday so we had our Hottest and Hardest Workout of the Year workout. It was grim. (We have an air conditioner but it is NEVER used. Ever. It just sits there it its niche above the back door taunting us.)

well I just changed jobs. I used to push carts for the local grocery store and well it's hot as heck out there. I would drink as much water as possible and stay inside. usually I try to stay inside even if im not working
