Hi I live in london and have been practising Japanese Jiu-Jitsu for 5 years, 4 of these I was taught at home by my brother (whom was the equivalent of a brown belt but could never grade due to work), I have been training for just over a year at a dojo after my brother said I knew all throws he knew so sent me on my way 
. What did make me smile is the amount of Japanese Jiu-jitsu people there are on here ( before me my last forum had never heard of Japanese Jiu-Jitsu). I am currently 4th kyu, my sensei was aware of my previous training so allowed me to grade quickly ( still doing same stuff as everyone else but in sessions could ask me if I knew X and Y so he didn't have to teach me it) our gradings are external.
