Maybe this should go under Religion and Phil, don't know. Here goes...

The Answer:42

After all these years I still don't know the question. Only YOU can help.

I've already considered these:

How many roads must a man walk down?

What is six times seven?

EXACTLY!

You can find the answer in the Complete Hitchikers Guide...

I've heard this before, and forgive my ignorance for not quite understanding, but...WHAT DOES ONE HAVE TO DO WITH THE OTHER (the question and answer I mean)??

At what age is a man considered mature in mind and spirit.

The answer: 4 score and two (42)

They have to rebuild the machine before they can get the exact question and that has about 2.5 million years left to go.

Yes, it is the ultimate question. But know it is does not tell us what the question actually is. The books determined that the two were mutually exclusive. If one knows the answer(42) one cannot learn the question. But here at martial talk I think were smart enough to come up with them both. Here's a shot: How many shrimp must one eat to get really full? 42?

If I were a carpenter, and you were a lady, would you marry me anyway? Would you have my baby?

Sincerely,
Deep Thoughts

To understand is to not understand, or to question more.

To exist is to not exist.

42 is an answer. It is just as meaningful as any other answer.

The Question of What is Life, The Universe and Everything? Is just as valid a questions as any other.

Why are we here?

Why did my Mom have to die of Cancer?

Why did I have to Marry a woman who turned pyscho and then get divorced?

Why do Trolls show up and assume they must be listened too?

Why?

Were we created? Is there a creator? What form does he or she or it take?

Is it important? To some? To all?

Some Ask Questions, others give answers. Others give good answers, and others ask you questions back.

Thanks!

Last weekend, I was at Walden Books and I saw a installment of Hitchhiker's that I had never seen before. I didn't really look at it, because I knew I couldn't afford it, I wonder if it was written before the untimely passing of Douglas Adams and published after.
