Watching that it seemed that the lioness wasn't really hunting. It's likely the boar triggered the lion's chase instinct by running past or the lion wasn't as hungry as it first thought. Or, again the lioness wasn't that skilled in taking down a boar.
But it's a good teaching video (if one isn't a naturalist and tends to see things from nature's pov)... keep on fighting and press on til the opponent yields or backs away.
