Well first of hi, I'm new to this site, but i am having a hard time finding a kenjutsu dojo. I prefer some where like Bothell, Seattle, Everett. Thank you.

Might I suggest.... http://tenshinsho-den-katori-shinto-ryu.org/

Tenshinsho Den Katori Shinto Ryu is one of the oldest, and most respected sword traditions from Japan (although the syllabus is much larger than just sword), and Phil Relnick Sensei is one of the very few licenced to teach it. He's in Seattle, I highly recommend contacting him.

Er, read this first (a different Ryu, but the same ideas apply): http://shutokukan.org/join_the_ryu.html

I know the feeling! I used to practice over at cherrydale before it went for profit. Was a good organization for practicing kendo in a century old firehouse.

The Northern Virginia Budokai never went "for profit", they just had to change venues which caused the amount charged per student to go up to cover the rent. Last I knew, nobody at the Capital Area Budokai (which includes the NVB) was making any profit, but maybe you know something I don't?
