I have come across this programme on military blunders that is quite intriguing. Because I am biased I find the analysis of the British loss to the Zulu's to be flawed in it's implied (and not so implied) accusations of racism and a touch too full of triumphalism for the temporary victors :p.

The first thing that sprung to mind hearing the program title was "never get involved in a land war in Asia."

Followed quickly by "Never go against a Sicilian, when death is on the line."

All joking aside, thanks for sharing.

don't mess with Russia?

Thing is...till Stalingrad the German Army had their way with the Russians. If Hitler had not split his fronts and had secured his lines who knows? Thank whoever you believe in that didnt happen.

Like I said...some plunders are better than others, but it would have not ended well in any case...you can't conquer the Russian soul...the Swedes learned that in the 17th century, Napoleon in the 19th, Adolf in the 20th....
