Not against the headgear and body armour

Headgear and body armour is the product of the type of training that a style or system is engaging. If the strikes are intended for sports then all the methods of training is directed to sports mentality. Meaning it is a game that makes people fascinated and excited. To those who use the headgear and body armour can maintain their usage to condition their feelings of security having the body cover and head cover. But in the Pekiti-Tirsia system, the entire Philosophy of training is directed towards combative mentality. Pekiti-Tirsia maintained strategic methods and all tactical moves are secured by the principles of offense. Pekiti-Tirsia has no defense, aLL COUNTER OFFENCE as a defense. Pekiti-Tirsia believes that it is the duty of the enemy how to defend himself above the ground and on the ground with restful defense under the ground.
For sparring purposes, the use of the headgear is more than enough but body armour and gloves it is not demanded.The weapon becomes the armour and the shield. The technology in the use of offense is more than enough to protect against possible counter attack.
To condition the person's mentality, the technology under the old traditional training provides concrete logic in every slash and every thrust. No randomized delivery of strikes, every delivery must hit the target as accurate as using a 45 pistol in hitting the bullseye.
Pekiti-Tirsia believes in the saying " Battle conditions afford no comfort"
We trained hard with strategic footwork blended to the attack strategies
making all actions productive disallowing the enemy to create another plan of actions to counter the offensive attack. Within 3 seconds we have to terminate the enemy, because there will be more another one to follow and another one. 3 seconds is just the allowance. With headgear you cannot do that. If you fight your enemy in January , you kill him in December.So 3 seconds is ideal timing to reach the enemy.The discipline to destroy the enemy is the headgear and body armour of Pekiti-Tirsia.We develop killers mentality. If we do for sports we do all the way ,only time can stop it. We don't do for sports because we only believe and do for combat.
There is nothing in between. WE follow the old tradition. We don't leave Bones unturned.
