Gunology is the expanded program of Pekiti-Tirsia otherwise known as the Gun Seguidas or Quantum Shooting or the Big Question.Gunology technique is the ability to speed draw on concealed gun from the right hip, left hip for cross draw and back waist for back draw.
It can be done with a 1911 45 caliber any brand, 9mm from 3 to 5 inch pistol or revolver of any barrel length. Fast draw starts from hand gun familiarization, placement of the hand into the handle, pulling it out and pointing to the target.There are two ways to draw the gun, placing the hand into the handle by pulling or force drop of your hand that perfectly fits into the handle and in quick withdrawal the hand pulls the gun in fast speed. Pointing the gun towards the target is focusing the gun from the rear sight which is the body to the front sight which is the target on the same target area. From chest to cheat or head to head . The hand holding the hand will steadily focus to the target without moving the gun or hand within 5 seconds. Thiis is to check the direction of the gun towards the target.
IN PTK Gunology, learning the speed and focusing to the target is the priority of the training. No live ammos or firing during the familiarization. stage.
This method called Quantum or Big Question were terms used to Quantum move meaning the ability to move while on shooting action, It is also a s the Big Question because of the technique is outside the rules of engagement if there is an engagement. Once is shot is delivered no one knows all will stay as a Big Question. All of these happens in the Philipipines during the ages of the Philippines where shooting was a breakfast and dinner.
Gunology is to master every action and counter action that demands swift shooting and fast releases of the bullets. To hit the target becomes a reflex action not regimented.
All Pekiti-Tirsia students and Instructors are required to learn the BIG Q.
