Flight attendants learning MA!

About 2 or 3 years back China Airlines started teaching their Flight Attendants Non-Sport Sanshou so I am not surprised to see Hon Kong Airlines now training their flight attendants MA as well.

In these days and times you would think that it would be mandatory to have some sort of self defense training for any position where you have to deal with customers. You just never know when someone is going to snap. There are plenty of incidents where fast-food employees, retail employees, etc. are getting assualted for one reason or another.

I know a flight attendant that has from time to time trained some in MA.
If i was the CEO or Chairman of the Board of any of the airlines, I would make it a requirement that they train and even look into subsidizing their training. I would definitely make it part of their initial training as flight attendants.. say oh 40 hours and they have to show training every month...
