First time ever - Bruised hands

Sooooo. I've been doing new grip training and my hands are bruised. Red palms from gripping an 8lb and 10lb slam ball. Looks like I've earned some rest from that exercise and some Dit Da Jow. I'm starting to think grip training and dumbbell press on the same day is a bit too much. I guess tomorrow will be an abs and legs day. My injured thumb (rehab thumb) like the training. It feels better now than it did a week ago. It's definitely stronger.

I'll give my hands a week or two to heal. This is the first time my hands got to a point where I didn't want to pick up anything. Not cool at all.

Have a go at the sledgehammer exercises I’ve mentioned elsewhere. They are fantastic for muscular forearms! I do them every other day since, like gastrocnemius, the forearm muscles are resistant to growth!

I must have missed those- can you add a link or repeat what they are?
