Hey folks,

Had my first Bujinkan class last night. A bit of pain, but a lot of fun.
There is so much to learn that it's staggering. Ukeme, basic Kamae,
and footwork are going to dominate my life for a while.

The Sensei is great. Very traditional, knowledgeable, and he is amazing
to watch when he demonstrates techniques.

Anyway, just thought I would share my basic experience. Glad to finally
have the opportunity to train in Bujinkan.

Gambatte!

Believe me, work those rolls. Roll, roll, and then roll some more. Roll until you're rolling in your sleep.

I attended a seminar 2 weekends ago taught by Mark O'Brien. There's nothing like getting tossed about for a whole day on a hardwood floor in a hot and crowded dojo to show you just how badly your ukemi sucks.

Don't even get me started on the fun of rolling with a nice long weapon, like a bo or naginata.

lol we were all where youre at rigiht now...trust me...were ALL a LOOOOONG wayy off from truly understanding the art...keep it going

Thanks folks,

Now that I have two classes under my belt, I think I am starting to realize just how much I DON'T know about how much there IS to know about Bujinkan. :)
