firefox error

ok for some reason i click on my firefox icon and it set profile default so i clicked ok now i lost all my old favorties and start back to the basic any way to get all my old stuff back or old profile back

Browsers like Firefox and Netscape allow you to have different user profiles so each user can have their own bookmarks, settings, etc. I'm not entirely familiar with the system, so I can't tell you off hand how to fix it, I'll do some looking though...

also, did you change anything on the computer before this, like set up a different account, etc?

Did you have a different profile you were using, other than default?

To choose a different profile, make sure all firefox windows are closed:

Go to the Start Menu - > Run

type: firefox.exe -profilemanager
and press enter.

This will allow you to choose a different profile

This happened to me as well, just after I upgraded to version 1.0.7 but only after about two or three days..... strange... thought it was me!!!

I had alot of bookmarks for business that are simple gone.....

Of course once I used Firefox, I cleaned up all the stuff in IE, so no help there either..
