Baggage handlers working for Delta Air Lines Inc. conspired to smuggle drugs to Detroit from airports in Houston and Jamaica, authorities said Thursday as criminal complaints were unsealed against 12 people.

When Northwest Airlines flight 2321 landed in Detroit, authorities seized five suitcases with 284 pounds of marijuana and 35 pounds of cocaine, the agent said. Delta is Northwest's parent company.

Good thing they caught this when it landed.

Good thing these also weren't you know, explosives.

Would have been better if they were, you know, caught before being loaded on the plane.

Safety. It comes after profit. and molestation. and theater. and so on.

They would have been caught much sooner if they had been hiding the drugs in the pants of small children.

And there I thought a piece of the ring got blow off in the storm....
