Whats your favorite musical moment on the big screen?

Farris Buellers day off. When he is in the parade seeing danka shane(sp) and twist and shout.

Close second, trumpet solo in Angel eyes.

The Shawshank Redemption, the opera playing through the speakers out in the yard.

I think the Diva's aria in 'The Fifth Element'

The movie cut between the performance, and a rather interesting fight scene during the song. What made it better is that the tempo and beat of the song was reflected in the fight, even concluding at the same time.

"76 Trombones in the big parade with 110 cornets right behind...."
(Robert Preston's version of The Music Man)

"The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain" (My Fair Lady)

{No I'm not THAT old just remember watching those moments for the first time with my Mom who loved those old musicals}

Michael J. Fox's rendering of "Johnny B. Goode" accompanied by just about every guitar solo-style from the 50's to the 80's (Back To the Future)

"Nearer My God To Thee" being played by the ship's band on the final moments of the Titanic's sinking.

In the middle of Superfly where they just randomly show Curtis Mayfield on stage groovin' out. :D

Oh I've got another one. Pulp Fiction, Jackrabbit Slim's Twist Contest.

I have many favorite music moments from the Lord of the Rings trilogy!!! The part when Gandalf fell, Gandalf charging with Rohirrum (sp?), March of the Ents, and there are many awesome music moments in The Return of the King that both gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes!

Akula, I like the Diva song/fight from "The 5th Element" too!

Robyn :)

Full Metal Jacket - The Bird Is The Word...

Blade - Blood Rave (New Order - Confusion)

Bad Boys II - Will Smith walking into a lobby with Shake Your Tailfeather playing in the background... :D

Office Space . . . . walking into the office withm"Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangsta" playing in the background.
