Maybe the tax wasn't heavy enough, pun intended, to make the Danes change their eating habits?

Based on what the article said, the effect was hurting the economy and not helping the health of the people, as they were simply driven to find less expensive foods. In New Hampshire we have no sales tax, so we get shoppers coming in from other states in droves to buy things here. I would imagine if Massachusetts instituted such a tax, you'd find our grocery store parking lots overflowing with cars donning Massachusetts plates.
