Daedo and Adidas Sparring Gear

What's everyone's thoughts on Daedo and Adidas hogus? Pros cons? Preferences? I usually used Adidas, but am looking to try out the Daedo style gear. Any input would be great!

I would also recommend Daedo. Adidas are good, but in my opinion not worth the extra cost. I have had problems with the durability of the ties on both brands. As an unbeatable for the budget price recommendation for club orders, I'd go for Mooto or MTX by Mooto, which I find to be of reasonable quality and performance. I would steer clear of the Kwon hogus as though they are lighter and more flexible than the other options, they are much thinner and softer, so they spread the load of contact less.

Just the ordinary hogus. Although I wish I could buy the electronic, they're still a little out of my price range D:

One is WTF recognised, the other WTF 'Style'. 3 guesses which is which. Buying the recognised version will serve you better if you intend to compete at WTF sanctioned events.

I had a mooto hogu, honestly I didn't like it that much(I think it may have been a little small). On another note does anyone know the difference between these two daedo hogus? http://www.daedo.com/shop02/skin/shop.php?PG=view&uid=2430

Besides the difference in price they look the same to me. Maybe I'm missing something though.

The smaller the better...we fight with as small as we gan get away with!!!!

Also you should know that the sizes vary significantly between manufacturers. Always check the sizing guide and measure yourself, or ideally go to a shop and try them on.

I prefer Adidas, having used Daedo and Mooto. I just find them more comfortable. You will get used to whichever you buy, I'm sure.

I'm sure my thoughts on this are not nearly as relevant as others' on this thread. But back when I was competing in WTF sanctioned events, I preferred Adidas. However, that was back in the '90's, and by the looks of the hogus today, the designed has changed quite a bit.. .

These days, the competitions we compete in only require headgear (sometimes shin/hand gear).
