An article on the breaking up of Sudan: http://nation.foxnews.com/culture/2011/01/03/clooney-falling-bin-laden-s-sudan-trap#

he answer is that Obama, our bipartisan political elite, the mainstream media, and the rich, immature, libertine, and anti-U.S. Hollywood set lead by Clooney, et al, want to feel good about themselves by doing "good" for foreigners. For these elite U.S. citizens-of-the-world, ordinary Americans and their kids can starve, freeze, live on the streets, fail to find work, and remain illiterate forever. In essence, they can rot while Washington spends their taxes on Darfur - a place where absolutely no genuine U.S. interest is at stake.

The article is full of ****. Does this same criticism apply to conservative Christians doing mission work in Mexico or India? Does it apply to George Clooney considering that he is involved in extensive charity work here at home, including donations to the homeless and sitting on the board of the United Way?

God damned liars. Lazy ones too, they didn't even bother with Google for 10 seconds to find out the truth before the slander came out.

I think the difference between mission work in Mexico and the US Govt sending aid to Darfur is Missions in Mexico dont use our tax money.

I have no problem with Clooney or anyone else trying to raise money and help anyone they want as long as its not Tax money. People all the time Bash the US for sticking their nose in other peoples countries. Then when we dont they bash us for that too.

Looks like plagiarism. Didn't we see this article several years ago? Only instead of Sudan, it was Iraq? The problem with getting the consistent buy-in was that the Iraq war effort didn't have good looking celebrities telling the Americans that the war would liberate the Kurds and Iraqi women and the children would shower the liberators with flowers. Instead, it depended a lot more on appeals to patriotism and 9/11.
