Sports writer Mike Freeman written a completely biased and pathetic excuse for an article bashing MMA giving out points that have no creditbility: http://cbs.sportsline.com/columns/story/10162545
I've written a response to him, I know I didn't need to reply to a closedminded idiot but I felt it was duty to (Man! I sound so cheesy):

First of all, I like both MMA and boxing. With all due respect Mr. Freeman, I found your article to have no credibility and completely biased, your comments have no weight behind them. You make no good points against MMA being a great sport. All you do is use silly insults at nothing in particular. Allow me to comment on certain points:
"Ultimate fighting will never be as good as boxing on its worst day."
First of all its called Mixed Martial Art and why should it be? It's a collection of styles, boxing included. In Asia, they used to call boxing "Western Martial Arts".
"Many of the ultimates are nothing but thugs and ruffians."
That's what many used to say about boxers and many of them and I call mixed martial artists, are trained pros and instructors. Crocop was a police officer and is a member of the Croation parliment. I bet you think the late Bruce Lee was a brute too as I believe if he was alive today, he would be a big UFC or PRIDE fan.
"No skill is required to knee someone in the groin"
It does happen sometimes but so did hitting below the belt and not to mention biting ones ear off once.
"The UFC has no credibility. UFC equals the Ultimate Farcical Clown league."
Okay, I can't really explain how wrong that comment was.
"No UFC goon has or ever will possess the grace and natural showmanship of De La Hoya or the true fearsome fighting skills of Mayweather."
MMA fighters like Sakuraba and Genki Sudo who used to fight in UFC had much grace and showmanship as anybody. Fedor and the Gracies have fearsome fighting skills Mayweather
"It is only a matter of time before the UFC suckers, er, fans realize they have been fooled by a Jedi mind trick."
It might be only a matter of time before you either change your tune or will be a mockery among Sports journalists.
"The UFC should be banned; the De La Hoya-Mayweather bout should be embraced."
Closedminded people like you who should be banned from writing articles as you've proven to be a disgrace to Sports Journalism.
Well, I've said what I wanted to say. I hope you'll try to have an open mind with writing an article involving Mixed Martial Arts.
