Los Angeles (E! Online) – It may be more the provenance of Superman, but this time it's Batman who's entered Bizarro World.
Following the Joker, the Riddler, the Penguin and Two-Face in the Caped Crusader's pantheon of sworn nemeses, Batman is now set to face off against none other than...uh, Batman.
The mayor of Batman, a small oil-producing town in Turkey, has filed suit against The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros., the studio behind the record-shattering blockbuster, looking for a cut in the film's royalties in exchange for using the city's name without permission.
Which begs the question of where hizzoner has been the past 70 years.
"There is only one Batman in the world," Mayor Huseyin Kalkan said, per Variety. "The American producers used the name of our city without informing us."

Might as well sue the family of Bob Kane too since he came up with the name for his landmark character.

Apparently the mayor of Batman, a small oil-producing town in Turkey, has a heck of a lot of time on his hands and absolutely nothing to do.

Next the crayola people will be suing the Green Lantern for using the color green without their permission. And then America will sue Captain America, the Steel industry will be suing Iron Man, Norway will be suing Thor for using a Nordic God's name without asking, and of course the Wolverine outrage by the animal of the same name and then of course the law suite against Jean Grey by the City of Phoenix because her resurrected character had the same name as the city.... this ultimately will cross over to an international incident because the city of Phoenix used the name without asking the Egyptians

Uhh, I think Tony Stark and Iron Man will be sued by Ozzy Osbourne & Black Sabbath rather, even if they did use the song in the trailer.
