Central New York writer Phil Elmore recently came out with his first novel, "Demon Lord" ($17.95, BookLocker.com), a sword-and-sorcery fantasy about a knight-assassin at a crossroads.

A professional writer who will take on anything, "from a biography to an advertisement to a novel to an editorial," Elmore also concocted the "The Jim Reith Drinking Game," which encourages listeners of Reith's WSYR talk-radio show to take a sip every time Reith says "outstanding," cuts off a caller or does something else familiar.
