A Splendid Cartographical Project

I find this project quite fascinating - I am quite keen to get my hands on some of the virtualised maps and see for myself the emergent 3D landscape

That could be very neat... To be able to "walk" around places like Jamestown or Boston in the days of the Tea Party, for example... Or Rome in the days of Julius Caesar...

Libraries can't move fast enough to transfer their books and pictures onto computer disks. But, this project is twofold in that it preserves and generates business/fun at the same time. Great!
