So, if we never achieve anything else, at least we can be proud as a species that we, a bundle of meaty chemicals, produced a truly interstellar object. It's not the sort of thing to excite many, I am afraid, as 'reality' TV seems to hold the masses entranced rather more than science and engineering ... but, to me, it is an important moment.
