A Campaign Song

Oh, its Barack "Vote for me, I'm Black" Obama. It is pretty sad that he has gotten as far as he has playing on race alone.

The composer of the song linked to above, goes by the moniker 'will.i.am'. He is the front person, apparently, for the group 'Black Eyed Peas'.

He has an interesting commentary on why he wrote the song here:

what America is "supposed" to be...

freedom...
equality...
and truth...

and thats not what we have today...
we think we are free...
but in reality terror and fear controls our decisions...
this is not the America that our pioneers and leaders fought and died for...

and then there was New Hampshire

it was that speech...
like many great speeches...
that one moved me...
because words and ideas are powerful...

I like BEP's "Where is The Love". It's kind of like the 'A Campaign Song' only much deeper and a lot less like a 4.43 minute bumper sticker appeal to emotion. It's cool he is involved like Ted Nugent and the Dixie Chicks though.

BTW, will.i.am is his stage name and his real name is William James Adams Jr. I wonder if this is offputting to people that think they should be the same person on stage as off?
